A six-week group programme for Black professionals who are ready to move from planning their exit to building a business that is genuinely theirs. Structured. Peer-supported. Financially grounded.
They assume an uncomplicated relationship with ambition, visibility, and money. They were not built for people who have spent years paying the Excellence Tax™ — the extra emotional labour, identity suppression, and constant proving required to succeed in environments that were not built for them.
The Corporate Exodus Programme was. It was built specifically for Black professionals who carry significant expertise from their corporate careers, know it has value, and need a structured path to translate it into a business that rewards them properly. Not a side hustle. Not a pivot. A business that belongs entirely to you and pays you accordingly.
You have spent years delivering excellence in environments that extracted from you. This programme helps you extract it back.
The Corporate Exodus Programme is for Black professionals at a specific stage. Read the four descriptions below and see if you recognise yourself.
You are a Black professional in corporate employment who is seriously planning your exit and wants to build a financially grounded transition rather than an impulsive one.
You have already left corporate and are generating some income but lack the structure, clarity, or confidence to build on it properly.
You carry significant expertise from your corporate career and know it has value, but have not yet translated it into a clear, positioned, marketable offer.
You are done performing excellence for organisations that extract from you and are ready to build something that rewards you properly for what you bring.
This programme is not for you if: You are looking for a quick income fix or an overnight business. It requires four to five hours per week across six weeks, genuine engagement with the financial planning work, and a willingness to be honest about where you are and what you are building toward. It rewards that investment with structure, accountability, and a peer cohort who understand the terrain.
Every deliverable below is produced during the programme and belongs to you when you leave.
A specific, grounded articulation of what you are building and why — the foundation every future business decision rests on.
A detailed picture of the specific person you are building for, including their situation, their struggle, and what a solution changes for them.
A structured, positioned offer with a clear outcome, format, and a price that reflects the value you deliver rather than the market floor.
A realistic, honest picture of what the move requires — your break-even point, your runway, and your first revenue milestones.
A positioning statement and content plan that establishes your authority in your own voice for the people who most need what you offer.
Weekly activity targets, revenue milestones, and the three most important actions you will take in your first 30 days. Executable immediately.
Black professionals at a similar stage who understand the terrain and will remain a genuine resource long after the six weeks end.
Full access to the COBE Community for the duration of the programme, connecting you with a wider network of professionals.
Each week opens with a pre-recorded module you work through at your own pace, followed by a 90-minute live group session with Natasha. Click each week to expand.
A working why statement and a clear sense of the expertise you are building from.
A detailed client profile including their current situation, struggles, and what a genuine solution changes for them.
A defined primary offer with a clear outcome, format, and price. A one-paragraph description in plain language.
Your personal financial transition plan: monthly expenses, target income, minimum viable revenue, and your break-even point.
A clear positioning statement and four weeks of planned content across your chosen channels.
A complete 90-day business plan with weekly activity targets, revenue milestones, and the three most important actions you will take in the first 30 days.
The programme is designed to be completed alongside full-time employment. Every week is structured around one pre-recorded module, one live group session, and one workbook exercise. Four to five hours per week. Manageable.
A pre-recorded module opens each week. Work through it at your own pace before the live session.
A 90-minute live group session via Zoom every week. Direct facilitation from Natasha. Real-time Q&A.
A detailed workbook for each week with exercises and frameworks that produce the week's deliverable.
A private community space for peer connection, questions, and accountability between sessions.
The Corporate Exodus Programme Collective is priced to reflect the value of what you leave with — a complete business plan, a peer cohort, and a financial foundation — rather than the cost of the sessions.

Natasha Williams is the Founder and Research Director of The Cost of Black Excellence Research Institute and the creator of the Excellence Tax™ framework. Her research draws on survey data from more than 1,000 Black professionals across the UK, US, Canada, and Australia.
She has built and run businesses across more than two decades, including 14 years as Managing Director of Shape Surveyors. She has navigated the financial realities of self-employment, managed the specific challenges of building as a Black woman in industries that were not designed for her presence, and understands from the inside what translating undervalued expertise into a viable business actually requires.
She brings all of that into the Corporate Exodus Programme directly. Not as theory. As lived, tested, financially grounded experience.

The programme works for both people still in corporate employment planning their exit, and people who have already left and are in the early building stage. The financial planning week (Week 4) addresses both situations directly, including how to plan the transition whilst still employed and how to build financial momentum if you have already left.
Expect to invest four to five hours per week. That covers the pre-recorded module (60 to 90 minutes), the workbook exercise (60 to 90 minutes), and the live session (90 minutes). The programme is designed to be completed alongside full-time work with that time commitment in mind.
All sessions are recorded and made available within 24 hours. If you cannot attend live, submit your questions in advance and Natasha will address them during the session. The programme is designed with working professionals in mind — missing the occasional live session does not prevent you from getting full value from the programme.
Week one addresses exactly that. Many participants arrive uncertain and leave with a defined direction. Arriving with an open mind and genuine corporate expertise serves you better than arriving with a fixed plan that has not yet been tested against the questions the programme will ask of it.
Participants continue in the COBE Community, where the peer connections and conversations from the programme carry on. Those who want more intensive, personalised support can explore the Corporate Exodus Programme Executive tier, which offers one-to-one support with Natasha directly. The peer cohort also continues as a network beyond the formal programme.
The next cohort of the Corporate Exodus Programme Collective is forming now. Six weeks. A peer cohort who understand the terrain. A complete 90-day plan.
