The COCP teaches practitioners how to identify and address the conditions that create the Excellence Tax™: the extra labour, identity suppression, and personal cost that Black professionals carry in corporate workplaces.
Most diversity programmes focus on changing the individual. The evidence shows this does not work. The COCP is built on a different position: the organisation must change, and practitioners need the tools and the method to make that happen.
Candidates need at least five years of work experience, including two or more years in change, HR, DEI, or consulting.
Those who lead on culture and inclusion strategy and want a research-based method to drive real change.
Those ready to move beyond awareness training into work that focuses on the organisation and how it needs to change.
Consultants and practitioners looking to add a culturally intelligent method to their practice.
Those expanding their capability to work with diverse workforce contexts.
Those with change or HR experience who want to build a consulting practice using lived and professional expertise.
Where current frameworks fail and how to position the Excellence Tax methodology within change management practice.
The Four-Quadrant Model, the Excellence Tax Scorecard, root cause analysis, and the cost of inaction.
Designing change strategies, stakeholder plans, communication, and success metrics.
Running pilot programmes, scaling change across organisations, and building leadership capability.
Managing four types of resistance and holding difficult conversations without losing integrity.
Measuring impact and building long-term change into organisational systems.
Pricing services, writing proposals, and building a sustainable consulting practice.
Every module is built on data from 1,039 Black professionals across four countries. This is not theoretical. It is evidence-based practice.
The qualification does not ask Black professionals to adapt further. It equips practitioners to change the systems and cultures that extract from them.
Practitioners receive a licence to use the Excellence Tax Diagnostic with individuals and within organisations, with no additional fee.
The qualification is designed to certify practitioners who can take the methodology into organisations, not create dependency on a single consultant.
Both formats lead to the COCP post-nominal designation and entry into the certified practitioner directory.
Online, with self-study content, live session options, and monthly Q and A. Three tracks available:
A condensed version of the full programme for those who need to complete it in a shorter time. Same content, same qualification.
Organisations and individuals that take part in the pilot will receive the full training at exactly 50% off the standard tuition fees (e.g., the Self-Study Track is just £748.50) in exchange for a case study on outcomes. This is for professionals and organisations ready to take a clear position on culture change.
